Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust
The Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust serves 258,000 people in Southport, Formby, and West Lancashire, both in the hospital and in the community. Aside from the Southport and Formby District General Hospitals, the Ormskirk and District General Hospital also offers emergency care. This includes both adult and paediatric emergency services, intensive care, and a wide range of medical and surgical specialties. Ormskirk Hospital provides a variety of other services for women and children in addition to maternity care.
According to the hospital's website, the North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport Hospital provides specialised care for spinal patients from all over the North West, North Wales, and the Isle of Man. The Trust also offers sexual health services to residents of the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton.

Staff Physiotherapy Staff with a newly developed Musculoskeletal problem can have it assessed and treated by the Trust`s Out Patient Physiotherapy staff. The service is designed as a relatively fast turnaround service to assist in keeping staff at work, or aide their return to work. It is also to prevent problems becoming chronic, and for that reason it is only new acute and sub-acute problems that have only existed for 4 weeks in duration or less that can be accepted. There are, however, no restrictions on the area of the body that is involved.
