Education System
The UK education system is reputed for its high quality and standards. In general, the British higher education system has five stages of education: early years, primary years, secondary education, Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE). The school year usually begins in September and concludes in July and is split into three terms. Children between the ages of 11 and 16 must attend secondary education. Once compulsory education has been completed, students may seek further education at college or university, or find employment.
